Frank Kornet flew into Manhattan just in time to see his son Luke return to the starting lineup — and possibly into the Knicks’ future plans.
Frank is a former Milwaukee Bucks 6-9 combo forward and Vanderbilt star, who now is a girls high school coach in Nashville. With his season over, the elder Kornet arrived in New York to witness the final four games of the Knicks’ just-completed six-game homestand.
On Saturday, Knicks coach David Fizdale made the big lineup move, installed Mitchell Robinson as starting center and Kornet, slumping behind the arc, as starting power forward for the season’s final seven games.
