Love triangle combatant Matt Barnes says he and Knicks coach Derek Fisher were once pals — until his estranged wife apparently came between the former teammates.
“We were friends,” said Barnes, using the past tense, at a Thursday morning Memphis Grizzlies workout. “We were good friends at one point.”
Barnes, like Fisher one day earlier, declined to discuss any specifics of the Saturday night showdown between the two ex-Lakers over the center of their attention: Curvy Gloria Govan.
“It's a personal matter,” said Barnes, who just joined Memphis after three years with the Los Angeles Clippers.
