Maurice Ndour goes up for a shot during the Knicks' 100-91 win over the Bulls on Tuesday night.
Didn’t see that one coming.
For two months the Knicks have been in a free fall from self-proclaimed superteam to lottery nightmare. And Tuesday, there they were starting the likes of Maurice Ndour against streaking and desperate Chicago.
Naturally they cruised to a 100-91 win in front of a sellout Garden crowd of 19,812 that couldn’t possibly have seen this coming. The Knicks probably didn’t expect it themselves, the game was so absurd.
The Knicks (30-48) already were obviously without Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, and star Kristaps Porzingis was scratched, forcing them to hand the rookie Ndour his first start.
