The San Antonio Spurs have geared up for another run at an NBA championship by signing former Portland Trail Blazers star LaMarcus Aldridge. Before that happened, however, New York Knicks fans had high hopes that he’d call the Mecca of Basketball his home.
Not only was Phil Jackson unable to sign Aldridge, but he failed to lock in a face-to-face encounter with the three-time All-NBA member.
In an interview with Ryan Russillo of ESPN Radio, Aldridge revealed that it was a mutual decision for he and the Knicks to cancel their offseason meeting (H/T Lang Greene of BasketballInsiders.
