The NBA publicly acknowledged to have helped Indiana win a basketball contest by not calling a game-changing foul on Pascal Siakam prevented New York from at least having a fair chance at winning Game 3.
The officiating error, which was included in the Last Two Minute (L2M) report released by the League on Saturday, occurred with 1:57 remaining in the fourth and final quarter of the game and the score tied at 102-102.
The refs “missed” an offensive foul by Pacers’ Pascal Siakam against Knicks center Isaiah Hartenstein as there was a blatant grab of the latter by the former with vasts implications on the outcome of the game.
