The mystery of what prompted Kyle O’Quinn to shout at coach Jeff Hornacek as he came off the court in the first half of Friday night’s loss to Minnesota remained a mystery as the Knicks cancelled Saturday’s practice.
O’Quinn, the volatile backup center who is known as a clown in the locker room, looked livid on MSG Network cameras as he came to the bench during a timeout in the first half, jawing in Hornacek’s direction after the coach may have questioned him on a defensive blunder. It isn’t the first center who has given Hornacek lip. Exiled Joakim Noah went after Hornacek in February during a practice in Denver after pulling him after four minutes of garbage time in Golden State.
