Kyle O’Quinn is throwing his weight around again — this time at the Knicks.
After leaving New York and agreeing to sign with the Pacers on Friday, the center explained his decision, telling reporters Monday, “I wanted to play for something more than next year’s draft.”
The 28-year-old played the last three seasons in the Garden, when the Knicks went a combined 92-154 and were never really on the playoff periphery. The Knicks finished 29-53 last season, and the team hasn’t made any huge additions this summer other than impressive rookie Kevin Knox. Star Kristaps Porzingis will miss a substantial portion of this season recovering from a torn ACL.
