It’s hard to believe that barely over one year ago Kristaps Porzingis was still on the Knicks. It wasn’t hard to imagine what he could do once he joined the Mavericks.
Two years removed from tearing his ACL, the 24-year-old showcased his franchise-altering potential by putting up back-to-back performances with at least 35 points and 10 rebounds for the first time in his career. On Friday, Porzingis recorded 35 points, 12 rebounds, two steals and a block in a loss to Houston. On Monday, he had 38 points and 12 rebounds in a win against the Pacers, hitting six 6-of-13 3-pointers and all 12 free throw attempts.
