Kristaps Porzingis remains unsure exactly what his reception will be Thursday night at the Garden, but he’s certainly gotten a better idea since arriving in New York this week.
The former All-Star big man admits he’s gotten a sense on social media not to expect any standing ovations when he returns to his first NBA home with the Mavericks after requesting a trade from the Knicks last winter.
“I don’t know. I don’t know what to expect. Social media, it’s mostly negative. But we’ll see. There’s gonna be a lot of emotions, that’s for sure,” Porzingis said Wednesday after the Mavs worked out at the NBPA’s facility near Bryant Park.
