Nobody is booing Kristaps Porzingis anymore.
The rookie, who was given the New York treatment on draft night back in June, has won over Knicks fans -- along with everybody else in the NBA -- highlighting his brief career by barbecuing the Hornets in a 102-94 win on Tuesday night while earning his first chants of “Por-Zing-Is.”
He scored a career-high 29 points on 10-of-17 shooting with 11 rebounds, ending the game at the free throw line with a final round of adulation from the fans.
After an and-1 lay-up in the fourth quarter to put the Knicks up by 10, they erupted in their first organic three-syllable chant.
