INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — Cavaliers starting center Timofey Mozgov is skeptical Kristaps Porzingis is actually 7-foot-3. Mozgov, the former Knicks pivot, is 7-1.
“What? He’s taller than me? For real?’’ Mozgov asked during a Tuesday interview with The Post at the Cavaliers’ practice facility. “I thought he was 7-feet, not 7-3. We’ll see tomorrow.’’
Mozgov will get his first look at the 20-year-old Knicks rookie Wednesday when the teams meet for a nationally televised game at Quicken Loans Arena. Despite straining his neck in a frightening incident when Carmelo Anthony fell on him, Porzingis said he intends to play after posting his first NBA double-double (13 points, 14 rebounds) Monday against the Spurs.
