Yes, Patrick Ewing got a super early mention in the third printed SLAM magazine released on January 1995 with a little column penned by Tony Gervino highlighting his defensive chops (mostly his ability to block shots leading up to the 1994 Finals). Sadly, he was also added to the slamadamonth section a few pages after that but for the entirely wrong reasons, getting dunked on by Scottie Pippen.
