A report came out on Tuesday that the New York Knicks have spoken to the Orlando Magic about a possible trade involving point guard Elfrid Payton.
Marc Berman of the New York Post says the Knicks are interested in Payton because they believe that rookie Frank Ntilikina could be a better fit as a combo guard. This would allow them to move him around between the one and two spots.
The Knicks are starting to wonder if Ntilikina, at 6-foot-5, is more suited in the role of a combo guard. The Frenchman is showing an ability to play shooting guard despite his playmaking skills.
