The New York Knicks entered training camp without Joakim Noah, who was exiled from the team after a January spat with the former head coach, Jeff Hornacek. A buyout and a waive-and-stretch were expected, but it never came to fruition before the preseason’s conclusion.
On Monday at 5:00 p.m. ET, the Knicks must cut their roster down and make a decision on Noah. However, the decision arrived sooner than this.
New York officially announced that Noah, Jeff Coby and Kadeem Allen have been waived. This cut the roster down to 17 players, with two of them on two-way contracts for 2018-19.
