NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Knicks waived forwards Lou Amundson and Cleanthony Early and injured guard Chasson Randle on Friday, trimming their roster to 15 players.
Guard J.P. Tokoto and forward Damien Inglis were also cut Friday as the Knicks got down to the roster limit.
Amundson and Early played for the Knicks the past two seasons. Randle might have had a shot to make the team this season if not for a broken orbital bone around his left eye after three preseason games.
The release of Amundson is somewhat surprising because his $1 million salary is guaranteed.
