The young and role players on the Knicks roster will most likely see an increase in court time with only six games remaining on the docket. After a typical group meeting for the players, several veterans including Carmelo Anthony, Jose Calderon, and Robin Lopez agreed the best course of action is to reduce their minutes to create time for the other members of the squad to close out the season.
Head coach Kurt Rambis said the players approached him with the idea and along with president Phil Jackson and general manager Steve Mills, the organization and the players were on the same page for the final six games.
