PHOENIX — This was a night Kevin Knox found some efficiency and coach David Fizdale embarked on a new plan to get him more postups.
On the game’s first possession Monday in Sacramento, the 6-9 Knox got the ball on the block and hit a sweet fallaway over Bogdan Bogdanovic. Knox connected on another postup move in the second half, finished the night with 11 points in 21 minutes on 4-of-6 shooting. Still, Fizdale still didn’t feel comfortable going with Knox in the final period.
Fizdale explained he went with the hot hands of Allonzo Trier and Damyean Dotson, but clearly he didn’t want Knox on the court when the game was decided.
