The New York Knicks moved Kristaps Porzingis before the trade deadline to the Dallas Mavericks, ending a relationship that frayed over a 20-month span. However, this was not the only team involved in the sweepstakes.
Attempts were made at Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz and De’Aaron Fox of the Sacramento Kings. Both were rebuffed, but this was not the only talks with Sacramento.
Per Marc Stein of The New York Times, the Knicks were “flatly rejected” on an inquiry involving Porzingis and Marvin Bagley III.
