News came a couple of months ago that NBA teams have shown interest in trading for New York Knicks center Willy Hernangomez.
According to Stefan Bondy of the NY Daily News, teams are still very interested in Hernangomez, but they’re asking the Knicks why he hasn’t been playing much this season.
I’m sure Hernangomez not playing much has hurt his trade value, but despite interest from teams around the league, I can’t imagine that the Knicks want to deal the 23 year-old.
With the Knicks unlikely able to get rid of Joakim Noah, Kyle O’Quinn set to opt out of his contract after this season, while Enes Kanter is expected to pick up his own player option this summer, barring an injury to Kanter or O’Quinn, I’m not sure how Hernangomez is going to get more minutes.
