The New York Knicks made a quick turnaround on a Kristaps Porzingis trade before talks went public for long. His arrival to the Dallas Mavericks marked arguably the biggest of any deal that happened before the Feb. 7 deadline, especially as Anthony Davis remained in New Orleans.
With almost any superstar trade comes their list of “preferred destinations.” It happened with Davis, was rumored for Kawhi Leonard last year and Jimmy Butler earlier this season.
Marc Stein of The New York Times previously reported Porzingis had a four-team list, two of which included the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers.
