ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported earlier this month, the New York Knicks and Sacramento Kings discussed a deal around Enes Kanter and Zach Randolph. Both players’ contracts expire at season’s end and Sacramento has the necessary cap space to absorb the rest of Kanter’s $18.6 million since Randolph makes $11.69 million.
However, Kanter on the Kings no longer seems feasible, for now, according to Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee. Talks for the disgruntled center “quickly broke down,” potentially due to the Knicks’ unwillingness to take another expiring contract.
