Knicks to sign former 1st round pick, per report

With the NBA season winding down the New York Knicks recently signed John Jenkins and now will be signing another former first round pick.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported on Tuesday night that former first round pick Henry Ellenson plans on signing a 10 day contract with New York.

The 22 year-old Ellenson was selected with the 18th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons and also spent time in the G League with the Grand Rapids Drive.

The former McDonalds All-American stands at 6-foot-11 and the Knicks will get a chance to see if Ellenson has a future with them under head coach David Fizdale after looking impressive in the summer league.
