The Knicks and Nets are both expected to be near the bottom of the standings and not overly competitive on the court, but at least they’re showing a little feistiness in their trash talk game.
First, Brooklyn’s Latvian rookie Rodions Kurucs spoke in June about wanting to play against countryman Kristaps Porzingis and “beat his ass,” then Spencer Dinwiddie and Knick center Enes Kanter spent the early part of this month on Twitter contesting a friendly beef about who was the better team in New York.
Granted, with both projected to miss the playoffs as lottery teams, that’s not saying much.
