Carmelo Anthony finally has a wingman with a wingspan and a game.
It was all beautiful to watch Friday night, especially at the start of the third quarter, when the Knicks completely ran the Nets out of the Garden as Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis combined to score their team’s first 14 points of the quarter on the way to a 108-91 bludgeoning of Brooklyn.
One of the bonuses of Porzingis rocking the Garden with this eye-popping start is the big rookie has taken the heat off Anthony in many ways.
Porzingis said Anthony has made life so much easier for him, but the reality is KP has taken pressure off the Knicks’ superstar both on the floor and in the locker room.
