David Blatt, newly hired for the Knicks’ front office, sat next to president Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry, observing interim coach Mike Miller’s practice on Christmas Eve in Tarrytown.
On Monday night, Blatt was at the Garden, watching the Knicks’ disappointing loss to the Wizards.
After practice, Miller walked over to speak with Blatt, Mills and Perry.
It’s not the most stable job in the NBA universe, joining Mills’ basketball staff. But it is an astute move by Mills in bringing in another basketball brain in the person of the former Cavaliers head coach and European legend.
