The Knicks selected New Orleans mystery man, 7-foot-1 center Mitchell Robinson with the 36th pick in the second round.
Robinson didn’t play any games in college, committing to Texas A&M, switching to Western Kentucky before leaving the school and decided to train for the draft. Robinson even backed out of the Draft Combine the day before. He’s known for his athleticism and ability to run like a guard.
The pick completes the Carmelo Anthony trade as they obtained the second-round pick in the trade. The Knicks met with Robinson but never worked him out.
The last game he played was the Jordan Brand Classic in 2017.
