Allonzo Trier got his Knicks breakthrough in December. And it’s paving the way for his buddy’s breakthrough.
The Knicks are signing guard Kadeem Allen off their G League Westchester squad to a two-way NBA deal, The Post’s Marc Berman confirmed. The Knicks had an open two-way slot because the pact of Trier — like Allen, an Arizona product — was converted to an NBA contract.
Allen is known most for his defense after being named to the All-NBA G League Defensive Team last year, when he was with the Celtics’ affiliate. The Knicks brought him in this summer, and he’s averaged 13.
