The Knicks liked what they during summer league from former University of Wisconsin star Nigel Hayes. He’s going to be on the roster for awhile longer.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Hayes and the Knicks have agreed to a partially guaranteed deal.
The 22-year-old will likely not provide much of a spark on offense. His summer league numbers are proof of that.
During six summer league games, Hayes averaged just 4.3 points on 41.4 percent shooting. He was third on the team with 4.2 rebounds.
Hayes isn’t making the team for his stats.
