The Knicks have signed 21 year-old forward Luka Šamaniu0107, the 19th pick of the 2019 draft, to a two-way contract.
In a somewhat surprising move, the Spurs waived him this past Monday. Šamaniu0107 had played just 36 games with the Spurs, 33 coming in last season, in which he averaged only 3.8 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in 9.9 minutes per game. His efficiency was poor, slashing 45/28/55 splits and averaging more turnovers than assists.
Šamaniu0107 did exhibit some potential. The 6’10” forward has shown he can do a little bit of everything in the G League, averaging 21.
