A 1-6 start to the 2019-20 season has the New York Knicks in a rough position to open coach David Fizdale’s second go-around. No longer is the “developmental” label attached, as talented veterans like Julius Randle and Marcus Morris provide roster upgrades, and RJ Barrett is a legitimate talent at shooting guard, so improvement from a 17-65 disaster is necessary.
Despite the slow start, the Knicks are not at all ready to make a coaching change, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post. The report notes “it’s way too early to start any Fizdale Watch,” as this roster needs time to gel.
