The New York Knicks made the rare decision to replace the acting team president in the midst of the regular season. Longtime Knicks executive Steve Mills was relieved of his duties and replaced with well-known agent Leon Rose.
Rose has been patient with his evaluations of the current Knicks personnel, but a recent report indicates that he’s in favor of keeping Scott Perry on as general manager.
For now.
Perry has been the general manager of the Knicks since July of 2017. During that time, the Knicks have drafted promising young prospects, accumulated assets in the form of future NBA Draft picks, and traded former franchise player Kristaps Porzingis.
