The New York Knicks have committed to rookie Frank Ntilikina as the future at the point guard position. In doing so, the Knicks have enacted an extensive search for a veteran who can alleviate pressure from Ntilikina.
Although the Knicks previously signed Ramon Sessions to address that need, the pursuit of veteran leadership hasn’t yet ceased.
Ntilikina is regarded as a player with intriguing potential, but he’s also viewed as something of a project. He has the physical tools and overall skill level to contribute early, but the learning curve between Europe and the NBA is historically steep.
