Throughout the 2016-17 NBA regular season, New York Knicks fans questioned whether or not head coach Jeff Hornacek had a true sense of job security. Hornacek ran a system that wasn’t his own, engaged in a verbal battle with Carmelo Anthony, and struggled to get maximum effort out of his players.
As the 2017-18 NBA regular season approaches, however, the Knicks are displaying as firm support of Hornacek as ever before.
When New York introduced Scott Perry as general manager, just three Knicks officials were featured at the press conference: Perry, president Steve Mills, and Hornacek. Weeks later, it appears as though the organization is committing to Hornacek with its roster decisions.
