If a head coach has an even remotely strong track record, there’s a strong possibility that they’ve been tied to the New York Knicks through some set of coaching rumors. The validity of such reports are debatable, to say the very least, but that doesn’t make them any less intriguing.
One of the names most commonly tied to the Knicks was scratched off the list when Tom Thibodeau accepted an offer to become head coach and team president of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
NBA sources say Tom Thibodeau is closing in on a five-year pact in the $10 million range annually to become coach/president of the Wolves.
