The New York Knicks are leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of the next team president. With Phil Jackson relieved of his duties, the Knicks are both contacting and receiving interest from some of the top basketball minds in the NBA.
Although nothing is imminent, one of the first candidates whom the Knicks will interview won an NBA championship just two years ago.
New York’s list of candidates includes Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari, Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti, and Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri. Steve Mills will receive an opportunity to earn his keep, but that group inevitably raises eyebrows.
