2015-16 was one of the more disappointing campaigns in recent New York Knicks history. It marked the third consecutive season during which New York has missed the playoffs, and the knowledge that Carmelo Anthony is soon to turn 32 years old makes that even more difficult to accept.
The Knicks may turn to an unexpected route to improve the team’s long-term future.
New York is without a first or second-round pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. It dealt the first-rounder in the Andrea Bargnani trade, and let go of a second-rounder in the deal that landed Raymond Felton and Kurt Thomas.
