Knicks Rumors: New York has interest in Amir Johnson

The New York Knicks are approaching an offseason of change with a clear vision for the 2018-19 season. With Kristaps Porzingis sidelined by an injury and Kyle O’Quinn expected to walk in free agency, New York is playing the long game.

As the Knicks survey the open market for veteran big men who can fill the stopgap role, rumors are running rampant about whom they’d like to sign.

New York has been linked to a number of free agents who can help provide depth in the frontcourt. That list includes Michael Beasley, who played for the Knicks in 2017-18, and unrestricted options Trevor Booker, Mario Hezonja, and Anthony Tolliver.
