The New York Knicks have fully committed to the international movement in professional basketball. Phil Jackson selected Kristaps Porzingis at No. 4 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft, and recently signed Mindaugas Kuzminskas to a two-year deal.
The Knicks didn’t stop there, as coveted center Willy Hernangomez will finally come over to the NBA in 2016-17.
The Knicks acquired Hernangomez with the 35th overall selection in the 2015 NBA Draft. It was the most quiet of New York’s three moves on draft night, as all eyes inevitably turned to Porzingis and fellow first-round selection Jerian Grant.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Knicks have agreed to terms on a multi-year deal with Hernangomez.
