The New York Knicks are actively adding to a coaching staff that could change the culture as soon as the 2017-18 season. In addition to hiring David Fizdale to replace Jeff Hornacek, the Knicks essentially cleaned house with the assistant coaches.
With reports pouring in about whom Fizdale will trust to round out his coaching staff, it appears as though a former interim head coach will be the latest addition.
Fizdale, 44, is a respected individual who has vast experience in multiple positions. That includes his stint as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies and his glorious tenure as an assistant for the Miami Heat, during which he won two championships.
