With the Kristaps Porzingis trade and waiving of Enes Kanter and Wesley Matthews, the New York Knicks opened a handful of roster spots. They only added John Jenkins to fill space, but on a 10-day contract that will expire before the first game after the All-Star break on Friday.
Well, the Knicks have found at least one more player to hold a roster spot, temporarily. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Henry Ellenson will sign a one-day contract.
After the Feb. 7 trade deadline, the Detroit Pistons released Ellenson after parts of three seasons with the team, who selected him 18th overall in the 2016 NBA Draft.
