MILWAUKEE -- Kristaps Porzingis had 14 in his NBA debut as the New York Knicks opened the 2015-16 season with a 122-97 rout of the Milwaukee Bucks Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Porzingis, a 7-foot-3 native of Latvia, was booed on draft night when the Knicks selected him with the fourth overall pick but he sank three of his nine attempts from the field -- including a 3-pointer -- and knocked down nine of 12 free-throw attempts while grabbing five rebounds and also added an assist, block and steal in 20 minutes.
The Knicks also got 24 off the bench from forward Derrick Williams, who went 8-for-17 from the floor and added seven rebounds in 21 minutes.
