There was no official word from the NBA, and the Knicks weren’t going to admit that Obi Toppin would be in Atlanta on March 7 to compete in the Slam Dunk competition, but for weeks now the energetic rookie has had a hard time containing his enthusiasm for the opportunity.
And who could blame him? It’s time on the court, which has been hard to come by this season as he finds his way in the NBA, and it’s a showcase to shine what is his most eye-opening skill.
