Knicks shot-blocking rookie center Mitchell Robinson is preparing to play his first game Friday in New Orleans in front of family, friends and former high-school teammates.
But the 7-foot “Cajun Kid’’ has another dream — being in Charlotte during All-Star Weekend in February. The 20-year-old’s pie-in-the-sky hope is hitting the daily double — being selected to the Rookie-Sophomore All-Star Game then competing in the slam-dunk contest.
“It’s crossed my mind,’’ Robinson told The Post after setting the Knicks’ rookie record for blocks with nine Sunday against the Magic. “I always wanted to be in one — a dunk contest.
