SAN ANTONIO — Is it possible rookie point guard Kadeem Allen has a firmer future as a Knick next season than Frank Ntilikina does?
Allen, playing on a two-way G-League contract, was summoned from Westchester to face the Spurs on Friday as a sub for Dennis Smith Jr., who was dealing with a back injury. Allen was the Knicks’ best player in the first half, coming off the bench for 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting on a host of pretty drives.
Allen finished with 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting in the Knicks’ 109-83 loss to San Antonio, their eight straight defeat.
