Knicks' RJ Barrett clears NBA's health and safety protocols in time for game vs. Wizards

The Knicks gradually are coming out of their COVID outbreak.

RJ Barrett cleared the NBA’s health and safety protocols Thursday morning, the team announced, joining Obi Toppin, who cleared the protocols Wednesday.

The two, who rejoined the team ahead of their game against the Wizards Thursday evening, were the first of seven players to sit due to the virus. Barrett has missed the last five games.

Quentin Grimes, Kevin Knox, Miles McBride, Nerlens Noel and Immanuel Quickley remain in health and safety protocols. The Knicks are also down Derrick Rose, who underwent ankle surgery and will be out for at least eight weeks.
