Free agent forward/center Julius Randle has agreed to a three-year, $63 million deal with the New York Knicks, CAA agents Aaron Mintz and Steve Heumann told ESPN.
Randle has developed into one of the NBA's most versatile offensive frontcourt players.
Randle had the best NBA season of his five-year career with the New Orleans Pelicans, averaging 21.4 points on 52 percent shooting, 8.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists last year.
He had signed a two-year, $18 million deal with the Pelicans a year ago in a tight financial market that included a player option -- which he declined to become a free agent.
