If this was Jeff Hornacek’s last game coaching the Knicks at the Garden, you can’t say his downtrodden, depleted club lay down against the King on Monday night.
The Knicks were within five points with six minutes left and six with 3:35 to go before LeBron James helped steer the Cavaliers home with his nifty passing and scoring in a 123-109 Cleveland victory.
James finished with 26 points and 11 assists and Kevin Love also added 26 before a celebrity-laden crowd highlighted by Masters champion Patrick Reed.
