Knicks Preview: Will The Unicorn Get His Revenge On The KAT?

On Wednesday night, former number one pick Karl Anthony Towns put up 47 points on 15-of-22 shooting, along with 18 rebounds, against the New York Knicks. While KAT outplayed Kristaps Porzingis in their first matchup of the 2016-17 NBA season, the Knicks edged out a win because of Carmelo Anthony’s game-winning jumper with 2.4 seconds left.

If Melo hadn’t hit the game-winner, the Knicks would have blown a 17-point fourth quarter lead, fell to 1-7 on the road, and 8-10 on the season.

Instead, the Knicks are 9-9 on the season, and host the Minnesota Timberwolves at Madison Square Garden tonight, as they look to get their 10th victory, and get over 500.
