Few offseason acquisitions have garnered as much attention in New York as Mindaugas Kuzminskas. The European standout is a virtual unknown in most NBA circles, but he’s accumulated an impressive resume overseas.
While many have done their homework in the days since he was signed, it’s team president Phil Jackson who has the answers we’ve all been searching for.
Kuzminskas won two championships, a Finals MVP award, and made four All-Star Game appearances in Lithuania’s professional basketball league. He went on to play for Unicaja in Spain’s vaunted Liga ACB, making a number of trips to Euroleague.
