Two decisions that the New York Knicks will have to make this summer involve Josh Hart and Immanuel Quickley. Hart is expected to opt out of his $12.96 million player option for 2023-24 to sign a larger contract as a free agent while Quickley will become eligible to sign an extension on July 1.
Hart’s repeatedly said that he wants to stay in New York and based on how he performed after the trade deadline, the front office would be wild to let him walk. Understandably so, the belief is that Hart will sign a long-term contract with the Knicks in free agency.
